I started training at A4F back in August 2017 . I had a clear goal in mind since the beginning and I wasn't looking for a classic commercial fitness center. From the beginning, I was really impressed by the quality of all the trainers at A4F as most of them have been and still are competing at national levels in bodybuilding and powerlifting comps which is usually a very good indication. After doing some research online and a trial of body recomp training a few years back I decided to give another shot and being trained by Boyd. What I was looking for was building lean muscle while gaining strength and losing fat 100% naturally. The only way to do that is having someone with strong solid knowledge and experience such as Boyd. Boyd taught me from the first PT session the foundation of powerlifting movements such as squats, deadlift and bench press. What I really like about him is that it took the time to teach me the proper technique by pointing out what I was doing right and wrong, why I was doing it and how to fix it even if this would take more than a session. I have to say that since I applied the correct movements and technique from Boyd my strength went sky rocket! One thing I noticed was that I was putting so much effort in doing wrong moments that could cause me a back injury. Boyd taught me the correct movements ending up building strong core and lower back muscles. Also, nailing the techniques is a long process but getting the right foundation by a well experience trainer help hugely. Getting the compound exercises right also helped with all the other muscle group exercises.
I have been a member of a number of gyms over the years, and if I had to rate them I would put All 4 Fitness at the top of the list. The main reason for this is the trainer’s focus on form and technique. This doesn’t just apply during a PT session, even if you’re working out alone they critique your form to prevent injuries and ensure that you receive the maximum benefits from a workout. Another major benefit of All 4 Fitness is that it isn’t one of those overcrowded gyms where you sit around for 15 minutes waiting for a machine to become available whilst someone takes gym selfies. If you want a gym that encourages good training habits facilitates achieving your goals, this is the one for you.
The atmosphere at All4Fitness is completely different to any other gym I've been to. I've been coming for over a year and I love the vibe of the place. I've recently started the group class which are of a high quality and tailored to suit everyone's skill level. The place is filled with sensational trainers and I'm unable to put into words how grateful I am for both the never-ending support and for the skills each trainer has taught me. The trainers genuinely want to see their clients succeed and achieve their personal goals - whatever that may be. It's exciting to see the changes my body has had over the year, and to be constantly educated in the art of powerlifting, mobility, nutrition and flexibility. Training at All4Fitness isn't a chore for me - it feels like a weekly trip to my second family.
